Social conscience is the underlying principle of life at the Campus. AKY Polytechnic College has the pride and privilege to be one among the colleges who has efficient volunteers and program officers. Students of aky Polytechnic actively engage in National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC), Red Ribbon Club (RRC).

Apart from these activities, community organization programmes are carried out by aky volunteers in the villages in and around Ambai.

Women empowerment programmes and entrepreneurial development programs were organized mainly for the women folk. Motivational programmes are conducted to parents and children who are school dropouts and illiterate. Referral services are held to help the disabled and needy. The team of volunteers actively conduct awareness campaigns on health, hygiene, sanitation, environmental protection, deforestation, AIDS, consumer rights etc.
